State Competitive Events
State
three categories: individual, team, and chapter events. A PBL competitor may
compete in one individual event, one team event, and any number of chapter
events at Spring Leadership Conference. A participant may not be enrolled in
any post-baccalaureate or graduate program prior to December 1 of the current
school year in addition to meeting the eligibility requirements for individual
events.

school year.
Should a
tie occur in any event, it is the responsibility of the judges to use a system
of weighing in order to determine specific places in an interview or
demonstration situation. On a written examination, the tests will be numbered
in order of completion. The completion time will then be used to determine
places of competitors when scores reflect a tie.
In all
chapter report events which require a manuscript or report to be sent to the
National office, THE REPORT OR MANUSCRIPT MUST BE PREPARED BY STUDENT MEMBERS,
NOT ADVISERS. Failure to comply with this regulation will DISQUALIFY an entry.
